Moving towards the future

The Town of Weir recently announced the opening of it news walking track/park located besides the Weir Fire Department building. The track/park, which was a six-year process to complete, is now open and available to the public. Town officials plan to host a dedication ceremony and ribbon-cutting in the near future.

As the Town of Weir looks towards another year of making progress in Choctaw County, its residents are seeing change daily as economic and industrial opportunities present themselves.

Hospital appears to bloom under new management

With the new management changes at Choctaw Regional Medical Center, staff members are responding with a higher level of quality care and service to the residents of Choctaw County and the surrounding areas. Around 50 employees have been added to the healthcare system of Choctaw County within the past eight months, with no signs of slowing down.
(Right) With the new hours for the Choctaw Medical Clinic from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., citizens of Choctaw County and the surrounding areas can now visit a doctor or nurse practitioner during a time of their convenience.
