The French Camp Academy baseball team proved to be deadly to opponents in the deciding game of best-of-three series in the first two rounds of the playoffs. So Nanih Waiya made sure to take care of business in two games in the third round of the MHSAA Class 1A State Baseball Playoffs.

FCA knocked off Lumberton in the first round, before winning on the road against Bogue Chitto in the second round.

Nanih Waiya jumped out to a 2-0 lead in game one, before FCA fought back to tie the game in the third inning. That’s the way it stayed until Nanih Waiya scored the final run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eight to take a 3-2 win.

FCA only managed one hit in Friday’s 3-0 loss to the Warriors.

Near the end of the season FCA head coach Nathan Wright said his team was beginning to solidify just in time for the playoffs. Those statements proved to be true as the Panthers made a deep run into the postseason.
