French Camp hoops set to host McAdams Friday

The French Camp Academy basketball teams are looking to pick up a region win this week when they host Ethel on Tuesday and McAdams on Friday.

Last week’s action saw the boys and girls both drop a pair of games, including league setbacks to Durant.

On Thursday night the FCA girls fell to non-league foe East Webster 51-13, while the Wolverines defeated the French Camp boys 46-33.

The Lady Wolverines led French Camp 16-2 after one quarter and 33-4 at the half on the way to the win. Abigail Holman led the Lady Panthers in scoring with five points.

The French Camp boys trailed EW only 29-15 after three quarters of play, before getting outscored 17-8 over the last eight minutes of play. Maher Angelo led FCA with eight points, while Brady McGlothin scored five.

On Friday night the Durant girls took a 76-26 win over the Lady Panthers, while the FCA boys fell to the Tigers 83-50.

Durant led 40-15 at the half in the girls game. Holman and Anna Katherine Hosket scored eight points each for the Lady Panthers in the game.

The French Camp boys trailed 20-14 at the end of one quarter and 39-27 at the half. Jok Nebk scored 21 for the Panthers, while Angelo tossed in 16.
