Kid’s World, Car Show, Pet Show and more

It’s almost time for the Pine Tree Music Fest! Make plans to come to downtown Ackerman on Saturday, June 6 for the festival. There will be something for everyone in your family to do.

Live music, delicious food, shopping with arts and crafts vendors and much more will be part of the fun at the Pine Tree Music Fest.

Water slides, train rides, jumpers and more will be at the 2015 Pine Tree Music Fest for the kids’ to enjoy. Kid’s World will also feature a 66 foot dragon obstacle course to go along with the other inflatables. An all-day arm band will be available for $15 for all of the inflatables so the kids can have fun all day. Train rides will be $3 per ride.

Adults and kids love the Pine Tree Music Fest’s Pet Show. It’s back for another year offering almost 20 different categories. Pets of all kinds and sizes are encouraged to enter the Pet Show. It’s only $2 to enter per category and you can enter as many categories as you want. All proceeds benefit the Choctaw County Library. The Pet Show is held at the corner of Commerce and Quinn Streets in downtown Ackerman. Registration begins at 9 a.m., show at 9:30 a.m. The Pet Show is sponsored by the Ackerman 20th Century Club.

For the car enthusiasts there will be the Choctaw Cruisers Car and Truck Show held around the
Choctaw County Courthouse. This car and truck show is different than others because everyone that enters the show receives a free Choctaw Cruisers Pine Tree Music Fest t-shirt, a door prize plus a chance of winning one of 35 trophies. Entry fee is $25 for the first car/truck and $20 for each additional car or truck. The Choctaw Cruisers Car and Truck Show now features a new trophy category for four-wheel drive trucks. Bring your four-wheel drive to the car and truck show at the Pine Tree Music Fest. Schedule of events: 8 a.m.-11 a.m.-Setup, clean and polish, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.-Judging, 1 p.m.-Door Prizes, 1:30 Trophy presentations. Another event at the Pine Tree Music Fest will be the fan favorite, Bingo. It will be held Friday, June 5 at Pap’s Place. ONLY Bingo will take place on that Friday night. The Ackerman 20th Century Club sponsors Bingo and has many great prizes for the winners. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with calling to begin at 6 p.m. Take your chance at winning by purchasing individual games or stay longer with an all-night card.
