Morgan found guilty in conspiracy case

From press & staff reports

After what might be the most intriguing case held during the Choctaw County Circuit Court session this past February, a Choctaw resident was charged with conspiracy to commit murder of their spouse.

In what can only be described as something from a movie, Choctaw resident Sandra Morgan was convicted and found guilty of the felony crime of conspiracy to commit capital murder on March 3 in Choctaw County Circuit Court. Morgan was convicted of trying to hire Devontae Anderson, who was also convicted of the same crime, to murder her husband.

Morgan was sentenced to serve 15 years with the Mississippi Department of Corrections with five years suspended and 10 years to serve. Upon her release, Morgan will be placed on five years of supervised probation.
