Extension Holiday Open House held

The Choctaw County Mississippi State University Extension Service and the Choctaw County Library held their annual Holiday Open House on December 11 at the Choctaw County Library.

Many activities were offered including crafts for the kids’, MSU ice cream samples, local entertainment, three local authors and much more. Even Santa Claus came by to pose for pictures with the children.

Another part of the Holiday Open House was the Festival of Christmas trees. Businesses and organizations from throughout Choctaw County put a Christmas tree to display during open house. People voted for their favorite tree.

Winners of the Holiday Open House People’s Choice Award are: People’s Choice-School-AES Pre-K 1st Place and AES Mrs. McCulloch’s Kids 2nd Place. Also, People’s Choice Award: 1st Place (Tie) Girlfriends at Broken Wings and Evans Dental Clinic.
