Activities leading up to graduation at FCA included the light hearted and the serious. Roy and Rosemary Purvis hosted a senior pool party. At senior share night, seniors expressed their gratitude to staff and fellow students. The Baccalaureate service Friday night and the traditional Communion breakfast on Saturday morning set a more serious note leading to commencement.
All thirty-three graduating seniors, families, and staff gathered on Friday night, May 23rd, for the Baccalaureate service. Rusty McKnight, FCA principal and alumni, was the primary speaker.
Dr. Ed Hartman was the Commencement speaker on Saturday morning, May 24th. After serving as pastor of two churches in Mississippi for 15 years, Ed and his wife, Emily, joined Mission to the World and he served as team leader of a church planting and leadership development team in Brasov, Romania (2004-2013). Since leaving Romania, they has continued to invest in church planting and missions.
