AES holds award ceremony

Ackerman Elementary School held their Pre-K/Kindergarten Awards Ceremony for the 2013-2014 school year on May 20 in the school’s gymnasium.
This year’s program began with a video presentation of the students throughout the year, as well as some of the activities they participated in. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of “My Country ‘Tis of Thee”. The music for the event was provided by Mrs. Jean Cooper. Ushering this year’s event were Nora Fulce, Jasmine Woods, Jabria Esters, Lydia Anderson, Kati Griffis, and Veronica Molina.

Next was the presentation of Pre-K awards and certificates. Presenting for the Pre-K classes were Mrs. Cynthia Long and Mrs. Jennifer Zirlott. After the award presentation, the children sang “Oh What a Miracle.”
