‘Mitchell Dental Cares’ event a huge success

From press reports

Mitchell Dental Clinic is Ackerman recently held their annual charity event with a slight name change – “Mitchell Dental Cares.”
The event took place for the 7th year in a row this past Friday, May 9. Mitchell Dental Clinic provided free dental work to almost 150 patients. Patients received their choice of a free filling, a free extraction or a free cleaning.
“Now more than ever, I know there are people out there that need my services, but have no means to afford them – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance,” Dr. David Mitchell said. “Mitchell Dental Cares is my way of giving back to the community and helping people who are in need of dental work.”
Mitchell Dental Clinic has helped over 800 patients through this annual event. Patients began lining up at 4:30 a.m. to claim their place in line. Nearly 100 patients were awaiting the large staff of volunteers who began arriving at 6:30 a.m. to process the patients. Dr. Randy Sanovich and staff from the Oral and Facial Surgical Center of Columbus came to lend their hands.
Local supporters such as Subway and One Stop supplied food for the volunteers; and as they do each year Southern Belle provided the volunteers with a special event t-shirt. Mitchell Dental Clinic would like to thank those showing their support and the patients who come out for the event. Mitchell Dental offers 150 spots for the day and was pleased to fill those this year.
A total of $57,000 of free dentistry was provided.
Be on the lookout next May for another great day of free dentistry at Mitchell Dental Clinic where ‘We can’t wait to see you’!
