Jones Chiropractic Clinic in Ackerman has made some big changes in the past few weeks, starting with new business days.
The clinic is owned by Dr. Sammie Lee Jones, Jr., D.C. Jones, a Houston native, has been a practicing chiropractor since 2001. He attended Life University in Marietta, GA previous to practicing. Jones has one employee, Office Manager Rhonda Bowie.
Jones has been at the clinic since 2006. Jones bought the clinic from long-time friend Dr. Snead before his death. Many residents of Choctaw County were familiar with Dr. Snead, who ran his own chiropractic clinic at the same location for 40 years. After purchasing the location, Jones renovated the building to his specifications.
When it initially opened in 2006, the clinic was only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. With Jones also owning a clinic in Starkville, it split his time between the two. On March 28 of this year, Jones closed his Starkville location permanently. This allowed for him to have more time to focus on his Ackerman office.
On March 30, Jones announced that the Ackerman office would be open from Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. With the change, Jones is hoping that he will be able to give more availability to the people in the county to use his services.
Jones explained what his business offers to the people. “We offer chiropractic adjustments of the spine to promote health, vitality, and well-being of the individual person,” Jones said. “A lot of people come in for spine, neck, and lower back problems due to a lot of factors, such as stress, fatigue, muscle sprains, etc.”
