French Camp athletes advance to North State meet

Chelsey McDaniel finished first in two events to lead French Camp Academy in the Region 3-1A Track Meet held at Winona on Saturday.
McDaniel posted a time of 28.27 to win the 200 meters, while taking first in the 400 meters with a clocking of 1:05.17. Nathan Grieve picked up a first for the Panthers in the boys 1600 meters with a time of 5:11.00.
Abigail Holman was second in the girls 3200 meters and third in the 1600 meters, while Catherine Bell was second in the girl 800 meters and McDaniel was third in the 200 meters. The boys 4×400 meters team took first place. Zac Couture was fourth in the boys discus and sixth in the shot put.
All athletes who finished in the top four in their event will advance to next week’s South State Meet.
