Chamber hosts workshop

A large crowd attended the workshop entitled “ Working from Home – The Ins and Outs of Tele-Work” that was held at the Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, April 24.
The instructor was Duan Walker with the Mississippi State University Extension Broadband & Adoption Team. Mr. Walker discussed the many advantages of working from home as well as the pitfalls. He instructed the class on the many things to look for when looking for a legitimate work- from-home business. He pointed out the red flags  that potential work- from- home workers needed to be aware of so they would not be caught is a scam.

Mr. Walker presented a list of over 100 legitimate companies that offer work-from-home opportunities and the opportunities are growing are every day. There are many different types of jobs that are available for those wanting to work from home. This workshop was sponsored by the Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce and the Mississippi State University Extension Broadband & Adoption Team
