The Spanish I class at Choctaw County High School had Unit Projects that focused on their most recent vocabulary related to the city / town. Students created model cities that include a transportation network, businesses, and public areas. Projects could be constructed from an array of material which encouraged the students to use their imaginations. Students used popsicle sticks, building blocks, cards, candy, lumber, tin and metal. After construction, students labeled their buildings and roadways in Spanish and wrote short descriptions in Spanish of their town.
