Kent Vaughn had a big week on the links for Choctaw County High School last week, taking medalist honors in each of the Chargers first two golf matches of the season.
CCHS opened the week by putting together a team score of 207 to take a four-team match which included East Webster, West Point and Nanih Waiya at Webster Country Club in Eupora.
Vaughn carded a tourney best 41 in the nine-hole event, while Dylan Jones shot a 48.
Vaughn also posted a 41 at Ackerman County Club later in the week, while CCHS hosted EW, West Point, Nanih Waiya and Winona. Jones, once again was second on the team with 48. CCHS had a team score of 208 in that match to once again take the win.
Tres Gammill shot 56s in both matches, while Adam Threadgill had a 57 and a 60 and Kindal Gammill had a pair of 62s.
Choctaw County had three matches scheduled for this week, visiting Winona on Monday, West Point on Tuesday and then playing at Green Oaks in Columbus on Thursday.
Other members of the team are Jacob Makamson, Preston Payne and Spencer Power. They are coached by Gary Beals, who is assisted by Curt Sparks and Easton Cartwright.
