Paul is teaching Titus to remind the people to be subject to rulers and those in authority, to be obedient and do whatever is good, do not slander people but be kind and gentle to everyone. Because at one time we too were foolish, disobedient and enslaved to all kinds of pleasures, we lived in malice & envy, being hated, and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but it is because of His mercy He saved us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Avoid foolish questions and genealogies and contentions and arguments & quarreling about the Bible, because these things are unprofitable and useless. May God Bless you.
This lesson is paraphrase from Titus 3.
