The Choctaw County Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation recently donated $350 to the 4-H Shooting Sports program in Choctaw County. This program promotes the safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment including sound decision making, self discipline and concentration. The program promotes the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship and ethical behavior. Participants also are exposed to vocational and avocational activities related to shooting sports. Although youth are required to provide some equipment and ammunition, these funds will help provide other needed general supplies and equipment for the program.
