NARFE Will Meet
The National Active & Retired Federal Employees Association will meet Thursday, February 27 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Starkville. Doors open at 11 a.m. and lunch is served at 11:30. February is Heart Month and Mrs. Liz Varco, RN from Oktibbeha County Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab, will present the program addressing Recent Advances in Heart Disease.
Cyberbullying: What Can You Do About It?
Noon-1 p.m. at the Choctaw County Extension Office (interactive video). Jamie Varner and Connie Templeton will discuss tips to address bullying and ways to recognize, research, and react to cyberbullying with students. The public is invited to attend this free program. CCHS Jr. & Sr. Prom Dues
Each CCHS Jr. & Sr. must have their prom dues paid in full by Feb. 28 in order to attend prom. Junior class dues are $80 and senior dues are $20. Mrs. Beals at CCHS will issue a receipt once money is paid. Any junior or senior at CCHS who does not pay their class dues this year will not be allowed to use a date ticket and will not be admitted to prom so please be sure to get your money paid on time.

4-H Pet Club meeting
The 4-H Pet Club will meet Monday, March 3 at 6 pm at the Choctaw Animal Clinic (Hwy 15, Ackerman). Dr. Rita Morris, club leader, will teach how to conduct physical exams on pets. 4-H Plate Lunch Fundraiser
Choctaw County 4-H will have a Plate Lunch Fundraiser Monday, March 10 from 10:00-2:00 at the Ackerman Church of Christ. Dine in or take out. Delivery is available inside city limits of Ackerman. 5K Run to benefit Wounded Warriors
GFWC 20th Century Club of Ackerman is sponsoring a 5K Run to benefit Wounded Warriors on Saturday, March 29 at 8am and a Kid’s Fun Run at 9am in downtown Ackerman.
