Mr. Rudolph R. Hughes

Kilmichael, Ms.

Mr. Rudolph R. Hughes, 85, died 1/9/14 in Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Greenwood, Ms. Services were held 2 PM Sunday, 1/12/14 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Choctaw County. Rev. Michael Mann officiated.

Pallbearers were; James and Randy Mitchell, Kevin Mann, James Talley, Joseph and Joshua Threet and Gary Avant.

He is survived by a son; Robert Lee Hughes, Kilmichael, Ms., a daughter; Linda Fay Threet, Weir, Ms., a sister; Jerry Hall, Pate, Ms., two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of all arrangements.

 

Mrs. Sarah Helen McGee Long

Sunday January 5, 2014

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Helen McGee Long, 84, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday January 8, 2014 at Ackerman United Methodist Church. Rev, Bryan Carrubba officiating. Burial followed in the Enon cemetery.

A native of Ackerman, Mrs. Long was a member of the Ackerman United Methodist Church, and was retired from the MS Employment Service. She was born in Choctaw County January 10, 1929 and died at OCH Regional Medical Center Sunday, January 5, 2014.

Survivors are one son, Joey Long of Ackerman, three grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Family suggest memorials made to Ackerman United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Myra A. “Budney” Henson

December 21, 2013

Funeral services for Mrs. Myra A. “Budney” Henson, 73, were held at New Haven Baptist Church near Weir on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. Allen Simpson officiated.

A native of Choctaw County, Mrs. Henson was a bus driver and assistant teacher for the Choctaw County School System. Mrs. Henson was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. Mrs. Hesnon died on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her residence near Weir.

Survivors include husband, Paul Wayne Henson of Weir; mother, Daisy (Blackwood) Lollar of Eupora; son, Marty Henson of Weir; daughter, Gay Henson of Flowood; brothers, David Simpson of Huntsville, AL., Jr. Simpson of Eupora, Woody Simpson of Ackerman; sisters, Cheryl Bell of Ethel, Jean Farley of Eupora, Debbie Gupton of New Orleans, LA., Gail Saski of Purvis, Ellen Wright of Plano, TX.; 1 grandchild.

Family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
