Maben CofC launches new website

From Press Reports

The Maben Chamber of Commerce has a newly renovated website. Information including visiting Maben, local education and recreation are included in a more “user-friendly” manner according to Shaun Nygard, president of the Maben Chamber of Commerce.

The improvements began back in the fall to start a new website and it is more useful because it can be “updated more frequently.” The revamp allows nearly everything to be updated as needed to ensure accuracy and “include more information,” said Nygard.

“We’re most excited about being able to get more content on the web and connect with our viewers,” said Nygard. “It’s for so many people … tourists, the chamber and the community.”

Some benefits to chamber members and sponsors have also been included in the upgrade, such as being added to a member directory that includes business information and a logo.

Businesses are listed on the site along with why to join the chamber but can also be in multiple categories if needed. A possible job board is also in the works.

For those interested in joining the chamber, a click of a button will outline the membership investment schedule and benefits provided to members.

Chamber news and announcements are located on the home page for easy access and a list of upcoming events can be found adjacent to the articles.

A link to the chamber’s Facebook page is also a welcomed addition to the site. Nygard hopes that the links will allow more people communication and information about chamber events.

“We hope these improvements help people to see what is going on in our community,” said Nygard. The site was built and hosted by Sports Marketing Experts Design of Buda, Texas. However, its CEO, Ronald Oswalt, has strong ties to this community through his family and spending almost every weekend there as a child.

Oswalt added, “We were honored to be chosen to design and develop the new site,” Oswalt said. “Getting to give back to our special community is an important part of what makes SME special.”
