Mrs. Jimmie Dell Box

Eupora, Ms.

Mrs. Jimmie Dell Box, 75, retired seamstress and homemaker, died 12/31/13 at the Golden Living Center in Eupora. Funeral services were held 1/3/14 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Webster County. Rev. J. B. Rowe and Rev. Don Parrish officiated. Pallbearers were; Roger Miller, Christopher Box, J. R. Clay, Butch Duvall, Richard Pittman and Terry McCain. She is survived by two sons; Mike Box, Eupora, Ms. and Mark Box, Stewart, Ms., two sisters; Bobbie Nell Sorrow, and Francis Coker both on McComb, Ms. and a brother Buddy Leonard also of McComb, Ms., and four grandchildren. She was a member of the Tomnolen Baptist Church. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of all arrangements.

Sarah Helen Long

Funeral services for Ms. Sarah Helen (McGee) Long, 84, will be held at 2 p.m., January 8, 2014 at Ackerman United Methodist Church in Ackerman. Rev. Bryan Carrubba will officiate. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.

A native of Choctaw County, Ms. Long was retired from the Mississippi Employment Service. She was a member of Ackerman United Methodist Church. Ms. Long died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.

Survivors include son Joey Long of Ackerman, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Ackerman United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Rhodes Patterson

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Rhodes Patterson, 89, were held at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial in Concord Cemetery in Ackerman.

A native of High Point, Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker and a member of Longview Baptist Church. Mrs. Patterson died on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Makamson of Sturgis, Debbie Johnson of Brandon, Nancy Edwards of Byram, and Mary Stroud of Sturgis; sons, Wayne Patterson of Weir, Buddy Patterson of Louisville, and Ricky Patterson of Byram; sister, Hazel Smith of Sturgis; brothers, Hubert Rhodes of Sturgis, and Jimmy Rhodes of Germantown; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren..

Mrs. Pauline Kennedy Miller

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Kennedy Miller, 77, were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 28, 2013 at New Zion M. B. Church. Rev, W. L. Hightower officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Miller was a member of New Zion M. B Church, and was a homemaker. She was born in Louisville Febtuary11, 1936 and died at her residence Monday, December 23, 2013.

Survivors are her husband Spurgeon Miller of Louisville, three daughter, Marion Love, Ophelia Doss and Brenda Seward all of Louisville, two sons; Douglas Hudson Sr., of Louisville, and Douglas Hudson Jr. of San Antonia, TX. Four sisters Pandora Brown, Marion Murray, Josephine Samuel and Ethel Taylor, two brothers, David Kennedy and Sherman Kennedy and sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
