Dollar General donate toys to Shriner Hospital

Dollar General of Ackerman and its customers have helped make some children’s’ Christmas brighter. Toys donated by customers at Dollar General in Ackerman were taken to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Shreveport, La.

Two local Shriners, Charles “Buck” Ray-past president of the Winston County Shrine Club, and Chris Nettles-Potentate 2008 Hamasa Shriners of Marion, Miss and member of the Winston Co. Shrine Club, picked up the toy donation on December 16 to be delivered to the Shriner’s Hospital in Shreveport.

 

Shriners Hospitals for Children have 22 hospitals located in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The hospitals treat children with a variety of health issues in orthopedics; burn care, cleft lip and palate and spinal cord injury.

The Shriners Hospital of Shreveport treats children for orthopedics and cleft lip and palate.
