Ackerman 20th Century Club add two new members

Twentieth Century Club of Ackerman met Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Choctaw County Library with nine members present. JoAnne Reid served as hostess and members enjoyed a chili supper. They shared good things prior to the beginning of the meeting.

Ginny Lucas read the October minutes. There was no correspondence. Treasurer Johnie Power gave the treasury report.

Ginny Lucas presented a Twentieth Century Club bag and padfolio to new members, Jennifer Mize and Manda McClure. Manda McClure also won the membership prize. Tinker Forrester updated members on Christmas t-shirt sales. Chellie Cardone updated members on the 5K event.

Program Leader, Tinker Forrester, called Ginny Lucas to provide the mediation. She read “A Thankful Heart-A Key to Overflowing Joy.” Belinda Vowell led members in the Pledge of Allegiance. Tinker Forrester discussed the final Christmas Brunch plans and passed out information. Club members worked on a Hands-On Project-Thanksgiving Cards for Veterans.

The Club was informed that the annual Holiday Open House at the Choctaw County Library is December 12th, and the December meeting will be on the 17th in the home of Marina Loper. The meeting was then adjourned.
