Joyful Noise Quartet performs in Washington, D.C.

By Press Reports

Joyful Noise Quartet, based out of Ackerman, participated in the 2013 Values Voter Summit held October 11-13 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Members of Joyful Noise Quartet are: Chris Jenkins, Anita Jenkins, Buddy Smith, and Perry King.

The quartet sang several God and Country themed songs at the American Family Association Action Luncheon at noon on October 11th, and also attended the Faith, Family and Freedom Gala Dinner honoring Dr. Ed Feulner, founder, The Heritage Foundation on the evening of October 12th.

While in D.C, the quartet toured the U.S. Capital. This was especially exciting for the group given that they were in D.C. right in the middle of the Government Shutdown. Because of the shutdown, there were no public tours of the Capital available. Joyful Noise was able to make contact with U.S. Congressman Alan Nunnelee, who graciously gave of his time while Congress was in session and gave the group a personal tour of the Capitol.
