Mr. Emmett W. Carr

Funeral services for Emmett W. Carr, 76, were held November 6, 2013 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, with Rev. Guyton Montgomery officiating.

Mr. Carr attended Ackerman Church of Christ, a carpenter and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Carr was a resident of Choctaw County, MS and his birthday was April 15, 1937. He passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS on November 3, 2013.

Survivors include son, Mark Bridges of Jackson, MS; daughters, Amanda Benefield of Oklahoma City, OK, Cindy Lambert of Alexandria, TN; brother, Bill Carr of Ackerman, MS; sisters, June Goodwin of Arkadelphia, Ark, Ann Martin of Harrison, Ark; seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Mr. Clinton Dudley Pittman

Funeral Services for Clinton Dudley Pittman, 92, were held November 10, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Ackerman Church of Christ with Rev. Jimmy Dudley and Rev. Guyton Montgomery officiating. Interment was held at Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery in the Reform Community.

Mr. Pittman was a member of Ackerman Church of Christ and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in WWII. Mr. Pittman was also a Heavy Equipment Salesman. He died November 7, 2013 at Pioneer Community Hospital of Choctaw in Ackerman, MS.

Survivors include son, Bryan Pittman of Tupelo, MS; son in law, Glen Thompson of Ackerman, MS; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
