Amanda Montgomery will open The Eclectic Soul at 103 East Main Street in Ackerman on Thursday, November 14. The Eclectic Soul will have a variety of items for purchase from antiques, pottery, jewelry, homemade crafts and local honey. The store will be open Monday – Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Wednesdays and open Thursday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Eclectic Soul allows artisans in the area to rent a booth space and sale their items. The store provides an outlet for multiple people to go into business at an affordable price. The store has 16 booth spaces with almost all of them full and ready for customers at Turkey and Tinsel.
The Eclectic Soul will carry items like Woodwick Candles and Lodge Cast Iron. Montgomery said she will be expanding the inventory through the upcoming months and hopes to appeal to a diverse customer base.
Montgomery decided to open The Eclectic Soul because she wanted to see more offered on Main Street in Ackerman and appeal to visitors that are already frequenting down town businesses such as Pap’s Place and Main Street Fabrics. She has a love for history and antiques and wanted to invest in Ackerman to create an outlet for local creativity.
The store reflects its name in having an eclectic mix of items to appeal to a variety of customers. Call The Eclectic Soul at 662-285-7259 or look them up on Facebook.
Join the Chamber of Commerce in welcoming Amanda Montgomery and The Eclectic Soul to Ackerman on Thursday, November 14 at 4 p.m. for a ribbon cutting.
