Local resident to compete for Miss MS Teen USA 2014

Deah Payton Lemmon, 15, of Ackerman; the current Miss North Mississippi Teen USA, will compete for the title of MISS MISSISSIPPI Teen USA 2014 on October 31, November 1 & 2, at the Harrah’s Casino Event Center.

Deah is the daughter of David and Amanda McBeth of Ackerman. She is the grand-daughter of Nick and Vickie Holloway of Ackerman, and Bonnie Jean McBeth of Carthage.

Deah attends French Camp Academy and her activities and/or hobbies include: school chorus, fishing, hunting, and working with children. Other interesting information about Deah is that she holds three state titles in cheerleading; she is interested in becoming a pediatric surgeon when she graduates and she would like to volunteer with Veterans.

Her sponsor for the pageant is Triangle Federal Credit Union. Other sponsors include: DELTA Positions Inc.,  Ackerman Discount Furniture, Forget Me Not Florist, Choctaw County Sheriff Cloyd Halford, Starkville Mayor Parker Wiseman and Wife Lindsey Wiseman, Benny and Gina Weeks, and her parents.

The MISS MISSISSIPPI TEEN USA® and MISS MISSISSIPPI USA® pageants are the Official Preliminaries to the MISS TEEN USA®, MISS USA® and MISS UNIVERSE® pageants and are a Donald J. Trump venture.

The young woman chosen as MISS MISSISSIPPI USA 2014 will go on to represent the state of Mississippi in the 2014 MISS USA® pageant as seen LIVE on television, one of the most anticipated television events of the year.
