By Thursday night the French Camp Academy slow-pitch softball team should know just where its fortunes rest.

The Lady Panthers entered the week 1-1 in region play with two more league contests to play. FCA was set to host Ethel on Monday before entertaining McAdams in the last regular-season game of the season on Thursday.

Last week French Camp fell to Ethel 10-0 in league play, before bouncing back to take an 11-1 region win over McAdams behind big hits by Kassie Oswalt and Carlin West. There are only three teams in the region, with the top two advancing to the MHSAA Class 1A State Slow-Pitch Playoffs.

In other action last week, FCA took part in the East Webster Tournament in Cumberland on Saturday. French Camp lost its opener to Vardaman 4-3, before falling to Noxapater 13-4.
