The Choctaw County High School varsity volleyball team was looking for its second win of the season this week as they hosted Amory on Monday and Williams-Sullivan on Thursday, before hosting Caledonia on Monday, Sept. 16.

The Lady Chargers dropped their lone match in two sets to Pontotoc on Thursday, while the CCHS junior varsity team took a two-set win over the Byhalia varsity the same night.

The junior varsity team, made up mostly of eighth and ninth graders, have had a strong year thus far, posting a 5-1 mark. The only loss has come against Starkville.

The varsity hopes to have Tiara Conner, the team’s lone returning starter, back for this week’s actions. The matches against Williams-Sullivan and Caledonia are both scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
