The Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome a new local business. Brenda Etheridge, RN, of Weir is the Director of Better Living Home Care, LLC.

Better Living Home Care provides the following type of services: personal care, homemaker, respite, sitter and private duty nursing.

Better Living Home Care’s service area covers Central and North Mississippi. Etheridge employs eight and looks to expand her business in the near future with training and hiring more employees. All employees are certified nurse assistants (CNA’s) or trained personal care assistants. As Better Living Home Care grows Etheridge would like to have a store front for her business in Choctaw County.

Better Living Home Care provides respite, personal care and homemaker services through the Veterans Administration. These services are on a referral basis only through the Veterans Administration.  Better Living Home Care provides personal care and respite care through the Medicaid Waiver.

Better Living Home Care accepts insurance, third party payer and private pay.  Any type of disability or illness can be stressful to an individual and their family members.  Better Living Home Care recognizes the uniqueness and individuality of each person and delivers high quality care tailored to the preferences and abilities of the individual.  Better Living Home Care can provide long term care, acute care or terminal care.

Etheridge opened Better Living Home Care because she saw a need for the services offered after experiences within her own family. She wants to help families keep their loved ones at home as long as they can.
