Chamber Movie Night a success

From press reports

The Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Back to School Movie Night on Friday, August 16, at the amphitheater at Tom Glasgow Park in Ackerman.

An audience began to gather at dusk for the showing of the movie, Remember the Titans.  There were charger t-shirts for sale and concessions including a popcorn machine, which was a big attraction for the young kids.  This event was sponsored by Ackerman Twentieth Century Club, Tonya Barlow Jewelry, Forget Me Not Florist, Guns and Roses Pawn Shop and K & M Portables.

The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Town of Ackerman work crew, Brent McKnight with the county, the Ackerman Police Department and the following volunteers: Juli Hughes, Deb and Carey Bunkelman, Kenya McKinley, Faye Ivy, Kellie and Matthew Cauthen, Linda and Ben Tharp, Trey Bowman, Johnie Power, Marina Loper, Cherrie Robison, Susan Shurden, Chellie Cardone and Belinda Vowell.  All of these individuals and groups helped make the Back to School Movie Night a huge success.
