Mr. James Jr. Yates

Funeral services for Mr. James Jr. Yates, 45, were held at Mt. Pisgah M. B. Church at 11:00 A.M. August 14, 2013. Rev. Kevin Forrest officiating. Burial followed in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Yates was a native of Winston County. He was born February 23, 1968 and died Saturday August 3, 2013.

Survivors are three sisters; Mary Yates of DeKalb, Ms, Joyce Patty of Philadelphia, MS, and Annette Rush of Preston, MS; three brothers; John Yates of Chicago, IL, Roy Yates of Louisville, and Edward Yates of Philadelphia, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Williams and Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Pearlie Ruth Anderson

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearlie Ruth Anderson, 78, were held at Springhill M. B. Church at 2:00 P.M. August 11, 2013. Rev. Ruben Yarbrough officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson was a native of Winston County. She was born November 28, 1934 and died Sunday August 4, 2013 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS.

She was a member of Springhill M.B. Church, retired from Spartus Corporation and loved to cook.

Survivors are her husband, Randolph Anderson of Louisville, two daughters; Vera Donald and Angarea Waldrip both of Louisville and seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Willie James “Hub Cap” Bennett

Funeral services for Mr. Willie James “Hub Cap” Bennett, 63, were held at Unity M. B. Church at 2:00 P.M. August 10, 2013. Rev. James A. Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery.

Mr. Bennett was a native of Winston County. He was born December 12, 1949 and died Sunday August 5, 2013 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.

He was a retired from truck driver.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret Bennett of Louisville, four daughters; Carolyn Richardson of Columbus, MS, Marcis Holmes, Deborah Holmes and Melissa Miller all of Louisville, three sisters ; Edna Bennett, Christine Coleman and Frankie Johnson all of Louisville and three brothers; Johnny Rae Bennett, Robert Pete Bennett and J. W. Bennett all of Louisville, twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Emma L. Robinson

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma L. Robinson, 75, were held at New Zion M. B. Church at 11:00 A. M. August 8, 2013. Rev. W. L. Hightower officiating. Burial followed in the church Cemetery.

Mrs. Robinson was a native of Louisville. She was born May 13, 1938 and died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Symphony of Crestwood in Crestwood IL.

She was a nurse.

Survivors are her husband, Billy Robinson, one son Linnel Ashford of Louisville, one granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Obie Adell Anderson

Funeral services for Mr. Obie Adell Anderson, 88, were held at Mt. Pisgah M. B. Church, Preston at 11:00 A. M. August 10, 2013. Rev. Donald Bryant officiating. Burial followed in the church Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was a native of Louisville. He was born November 6, 1924 and died Saturday August 3, 2013, at his home. He was a laborer and a member of Mt. Pisgah M. B. Church, Preston, MS.

Survivors are his wife, Ima J. Anderson; three daughters Dorothy Walker, Callie Yates and Edna Forrest all of Louisville, one son Willie Anderson of Gulfport, MS, one brother Randolph Anderson of Louisville, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mrs. Lottie Lee Coburn

Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie Lee Coburn, 81, were held at Rocky Hill M. B. Church, Preston at 11:00 A. M. August 17, 2013. Rev. Preston Coleman officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Mrs. Coburn was a native of Louisville. She was born July 14, 1932 and died Thursday August 8, 2013, at Lil’s Nursing Home, Preston, MS. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are one sister, Helen Jernigan of Louisville and five nieces, five nephews, and other relatives.
