Supervisors to establish economic development partnership

By Press Reports

Choctaw, Montgomery and Webster County Board of Supervisors will meet on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Winona at the North Central Planning and Development District to sign a resolution establishing the Regional Economic Partnership of Mississippi (Partnership).

The Partnership will be a tri-county regional economic development organization with a governing board of directors from the three counties. The Partnership was established to emphasize, identify and target new business and industrial development, support existing business retention and expansion, market the Partnership region and provide community education of the economic development process.

Upon the signing of the resolution to establish REPMS, the resolution will then be sent to the Mississippi Attorney General’s office for ratification.

Please join the Board of Supervisors from Choctaw, Montgomery and Webster counties as they establish a regional economic development partnership to unify and regionalize their counties to expand existing industry and attract businesses to Mississippi.
