Mrs. Rebecca Ann Norton

Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Ann Norton, age 68, were held at Brushford M.B. Church in Macon, MS on July 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Reverent Robert Avant officiated. Burial followed at Ruth Cemetery.

A resident of Macon, MS, Mrs. Norton was a member of Brushford M.B. Church. She passed away at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS on July 10, 2013.

Survivors include her daughters, Alessandra Cornelia Norton and Jacqueline Ann Norton, both of Louisville, MS, and Denis Myrick of Jackson, MS; her son, Michael Leon Norton of Louisville, MS; her sisters, Daisy Robinson, Marie Davis, Elzenia Lampley, Mary Anderson, all of Youngstown, OH, Dorothy Johnson of Louisville, MS, and Janice Hood of Chicago, IL; her brothers, William Van Hunt of Detroit, MI, and Roger Hunt of Louisville, MS; as well as four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dorthea Rosalie Corrigan

A memorial service for Dorthea Rosalie Corrigan of French Camp will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, at Bethsaida Baptist Church near French Camp, with Rev. Alex Lawson officiating. Interment will be in Beaumont Cemetery in Beaumont, Kansas, at a later date.

Visitation will be at Bethsaida Baptist Church on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Corrigan died of heart failure at her residence on Sunday, July 21. She was 89 years old.

Mrs. Corrigan was born in Beaumont, Kansas, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Alice Westfall Ball and the widow of the late Delbert James Corrigan. She was a retired employee of Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. She was also a teacher for 43 years and had a lifelong interest in square dancing and quilting. Mrs. Corrigan was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and attended Bethsaida Baptist Church near French Camp. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Ball.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Buzard of Wichita, KS, and Janet Colner of Wentzville, MO; three sons, Dennis Moen (Janet) of French Camp, Jim Corrigan of Bellflower, CA, and Ray Corrigan (Cathy) of Brea, CA; two sisters, Arlene Dowell of Pea Ridge, AR, and Beverly Schneider (Richard) of Derby, KS; one brother, Daryl Keith Ball (Faye); eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
