The first ever football schedule for the Choctaw County High School Chargers is a combination of the first six games off of the proposed 2013 schedule for Ackerman High School and the last five from that of Heidelberg High School.

When the MHSAA made the decision to place Choctaw County in Region 5-3A for the first two years of its existence, Heidelberg was dropped to Class 2A and the Chargers adopted the Oilers’ five-game district schedule.

CCHS will open its first season at Choctaw County rival French Camp Academy on Friday, Aug. 23, before playing host to Winona on Aug. 30 for the Chargers first-ever home game.

Choctaw County will then visit North Pontotoc on Sept. 6 and Union on Sept. 13, before hosting Houston on Sept. 20 and Caledonia on Sept. 27 to close out the non-region schedule.

The Chargers are set to open Region 5-3A play at home against Raleigh on Oct. 4, before visiting Choctaw Central on Oct. 11.

After hosting Southeast Lauderdale on Oct. 18, the Chargers will close out the 2013 regular season on the road against arguably two of the toughest teams in Region 5-3A. CCHS visits Forest on Oct. 25 and Philadelphia on Nov. 1.
