Weir Summer Reading Program a success

From press reports

Digging out “fossils” and learning how fossils are made was the topic of the Weir Summer Reading Program on June 11. Kids dug out “fossils” or chocolate chips out of a chocolate chip cookie and looked at fossil impressions in road gravel.

Children, Pre-K to 6th grade, are invited to come June 25 at 2 p.m. for story time and fun at the Donnie Crowder Community Center (formerly Crowder’s Drugs). For more information call the Weir Library at 547-6747.  This summer reading program is an outreach of Turning the Tide on Poverty.
