The Ackerman Board of Aldermen held a short monthly meeting on June 4. The meeting was held in Mayor Dick Cain’s office because the town’s election was underway in the boardroom.

Ackerman Police Chief Tanya Burton presented information from her investigation into the Tina Goodin Facebook issue. Previously, Tina Goodin filed a complaint against the APD because her mug shot was posted on Facebook not long after her arrest. She wanted to know how that happened.

In the June 4 meeting, Burton said after an investigation she only found one photo posted of Goodin on Facebook and that was on the night of the aldermen meeting when Goodin filed her complaint.

Burton said that Jeremy Yates posted a photo of Goodin but there is no way of knowing where that found came from. The board took no action on this matter.

On a different matter, the board approved a quitclaim deed for Caroline Thomas for her property on Bruce Drive. They approved payment of election commissioners and poll workers also.

The next Ackerman Board of Aldermen regularly scheduled meeting will be July 1 at 6 p.m. in the boardroom at Town Hall.
