Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Ray Downing, 93, were held at Salem Independent Methodist Church near Ackerman on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. Rev. Lynn Downing, Rev. Jim Reed, and Rev. Rob Faulk officiated. Burial at French Camp Cemetery in French Camp.
Mrs. Downing was a secretary at French Camp. Mrs. Downing died on Wednesday, June 3, 2013 at North Mississippi Medical Center Long Term Care in Eupora.
Survivors include son, Lynn Downing of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Mary Ida Harper of North Carolina; sisters, Bobbie Nell Jenkins of Ackerman, Lura McCulloch of Ackerman
Family suggests memorials to Salem Independent Methodist Church Building Fund or French Camp Academy.

Mr. Charles B. “Red” King

Funeral services for Mr. Charles B. “Red” King, 82, were held at South Union Methodist Church near Ackerman on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. Rev. Rob Faulk officiated.
A native of Choctaw County, Mr. King was a carpenter/roof contractor. Mr. King was a member of Chester Baptist Church. Mr. King died on Friday, June 5, 2013 at his residence in Ackerman.
Survivors include wife, Mae King of Ackerman; sons, Frank King of Laurel, Mike King of Ackerman, Rusty King of Ackerman; daughter, Pam Simpson of Ackerman; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Family suggests memorials to South Union Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.

Mrs. Earlene Pettit Parker
Mrs. Earlene Pettit Parker passed away on June 7, 2013. Visitation took place Sunday, June 9, from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Services were held Monday, June 10, at 2pm at New Liberty Baptist Church. Burial followed at New Liberty Cemetery in Vardaman, MS.
Mrs. Parker was retired from Kellwood Company in Calhoun City, MS, and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. Mrs. Parker passed in Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman, MS.
Survivors include her husband, Hosea Parker, parents, Bui Thomas Pettit and Vera Elizabeth Higginbotham Pettit, two sisters, Elizabeth Mitchell and Pauline Skinner, and two brothers, Lee and Thomas Pettit.
Pallbearers were Scott Bounds, Chris Cheatham, Cody Cheatham, Terry Posey, Nacona Scott, Brad Spencer, Keith Spencer, and Anthony Stroup. Honorary Pallbearers were Scotty Scott and Billy Wayne Spencer.

Mrs. Barbara Ray Stanford
Mrs. Barbara Ray Stanford, 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Visitation was held Thursday, June 6, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 7, 2013. Rev. Mike Childs officiated. Interment followed in Bethsaida Cemetery in Montgomery County.
Mrs. Stanford was born on April 5, 1935, to Emmett Clay and Grace O’Neil Ray. She worked at McGregor Shirt Factory in Winona, Mississippi, and at the Ladies Harbor House, which is an alcohol and drug treatment facility for women in Jackson, Mississippi.
She is survived by her husband, John Arvil Stanford, her daughter, Barbara Kaye Stanford Kennedy, her daughter, Gwyn Stanford Young, her son, Tony Stanford. All reside in Louisville, MS. She is also survived by Arvil Ray Stanford of Marietta, Georgia. Mrs. Stanford is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Anthony Stanford, Josh Stanford, William Ramage, Sam Burdine, Sam Gunnin, and Robert Ellington.

Mr. David Christopher White
Mr. David Christopher White, 34, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013. Funeral services for Mr. White were held at 2 pm on Monday, June 10, 2013, at John E. Stephens Chapel. Rev John Stephens and Rev Austin Bishop officiated. Interment was held in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Mr. White lived most of his life in Philadelphia, MS. He was a welder, and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. White was survived by his father, Michael Edward White. He is survived by his mother, Mary (Kathy) Scott, his step-dad, Mike Scott, of Huntsville, AL, his daughter, Paityn Emma Leigh White, of Philadelphia, MS, his sons, Christopher Logan White and Cooper Ray White of Philadelphia, MS, his brothers, Michael L. White of Huntsville, AL, Todd Scott of Meridian, MS, and Mikey Scott of Milton, FL. He is also survived by his grandmother, Mary Anna Pilgrim Mulligan of Philadelphia, MS, his grandmother, Mary Elizabth White of Philadelphia, MS, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paulbearers were Bill Chunn, Aaron Chunn, Bobby Aaron Edwards, Kenny Spears, Barry Frank Spears, Scottie Howell, Joey Pilgrim, and Adam Stokes.

Mrs. Pearlie Mae Miller
Pearlie Mae Miller, age 97, passed away on June 1, 2013. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on June 8th at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Louisville. Rev. Joseph Etua officiated. Burial followed in New Zion Cemetery.
A native of Louisville, Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. She was also a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Miller died at her nephew’s house in Atlanta, GA.
Survivors include her two foster children, Bessie Tucker of Decatur, GA, and Charleston Bridges of Ashtabula, OH, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ethan Wesley Bradley
Funeral services for Master Ethan Wesley Bradley was held at 11 am Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from Pine Grove Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mark Copeland officiating. Interment was in the Church Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
Master Ethan Wesley Bradley, 12, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at his residence in Carthage, MS due to injuries sustained in a 3-wheeler accident. He attended Pine Grove Christian Academy, where he recently completed the sixth grade. He was an avid outdoorsman. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers and playing ping pong. Master Bradley was a member of Pine Grove Pentecostal Church in Sebastopol, MS, where he was actively involved in PGPC Elev8 youth group.He loved participating in church outreach. He is survived by his parents, Wesley and Mandy Bradley of Carthage, MS; sisters, Jaydan Bradley of Carthage, MS and Bethany Bradley of Carthage, MS; maternal grandparents, Lamar and Beth Warren of Phila, MS; paternal grandparents, Melburn and Ramona Bradley of Ward, AR; maternal great-grandfather, Roy Martin of Phila, MS; (4) aunts and uncles; host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
