Pioneer Community Hospital of Choctaw is moving toward the future
with a new administrator, a new hospital and much more.

Allen Gamble was recently hired as the new administrator for the
Pioneer Community Hospital of Choctaw. Gamble comes to Choctaw County
from Clanton, Ala. where he was the corporate controller for a
hospital management company.

He has 27 years of healthcare financial and operational experience
including experience as a hospital administrator in small rural
hospitals in Alabama and Mississippi.

Gamble’s financial experience includes CFO positions in small to
medium size hospitals in Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas. He has
also had multi-facility financial responsibilities for corporations
with multiple hospitals in Alabama, Georgia and Arkansas.

The excitement of building a new hospital and being a part of the
future of healthcare in Choctaw County helped Gamble make the
decision to come to Choctaw County, along with Pioneer Health
Systems’ expertise in rural healthcare.

“I look forward to leading this group of healthcare professionals at
the Pioneer Community Hospital of Choctaw. There is a great future
for this hospital as we move into our new state of the art facility
in the next few weeks. Choctaw County can be proud of the
accomplishments that have been made by the County Supervisors and
Pioneer Health Services to bring this project to the point where we
are ready to begin serving the needs of the citizens in this new
facility,” said Gamble.

Gamble comes to Choctaw County with his wife Merri. They have been
married for 32 years and have two children Samantha, 26 years old,
and Allen Jr. (A.J.), 24 years old. Both Samantha and A.J. live in
Montgomery, Ala.

Gamble looks forward to becoming a part of the community, getting to
know everyone and helping the county to grow.
