Volunteer firemen training held

By Chris Coleman, Fire coordinator

In the past few weeks, the Choctaw County Fire Services, in
conjunction with the MS State Fire Academy, held an EMS support
operations 12 hour training for the Volunteer Firemen in and around
Choctaw County.

This class was held at the Bywy Fire Department and was led by State
Fire Academy instructor Chance Cummings.

Choctaw County fire services joins with the state fire academy twice
each year to offer free training and certifications to the volunteer
firemen of our county.

This type of training is a viable piece of knowledge that our men and
women in the fire services can greatly benefit from each year without
having to leave the confines of home.
