AHS softball girls play tough

AHS Softball game against Ethel was postponed due to weather on March
18.

The Indians travelled to Philadelphia on March 19. JV action
Indians led 2 to 1 until bottom of 4th inning where Philly rallied
from behind scoring 3 runs to take the win.

In the Varsity game, the Indians could not get anything to go there
way as they were defeated 10 to 0.

On March 21, the Indians played host to Hamilton in the 1st
district game of the season. Hamilton scored 4 in the 1st inning.

The Indians answered back with runs in the bottom of the 1st.
Hamilton and Ackerman each scored 1 run in the 2nd inning with
Ackerman leading 7 to 5 going into the 3rd. Hamilton scored 1 in the
3rd and 3 in the 4th to take the lead 9 to 7. The 5th and 6th inning
was scoreless. Hamilton scored 7 runs in the 7th inning and was able
to hold the Indians to no runs to end the game defeating the Indians
17to 7.

The Indians will travel to Ethel on Tuesday to make up last weeks
game. On March 28, the Indians will host Eupora in district play with
JV game at 5 pm and Varsity at 6 pm. On Friday the Indians will play
at home against Calhoun City and Houston game time 11 for JV and 12
for Varsity against Calhoun City and JV will play Houston at 2 and
Varsity at 3.
