FCA splits two games in East Webster Tournament

The Panthers of French Camp Academy enter this week at 4-4 after
splitting a pair of baseball games at the East Webster Tournament
last Tuesday.

FCA took a 9-3 win over Hebron Christian, then dropped a 15-1
decision to Caledonia.
Braden McGlothin and Brady Jackson combined to toss a one-hitter in
the win over Hebron, each striking out six batters.

Brady Jackson led the Panthers at the plate with a double, single and
two RBIs, while Luke McKnight drove in two runs with a pair of
singles. Hunter Vaughn had a single and RBI for the winners, while
Colt Trehern had a single of his own. Andrew Stevens and Trehern
scored two runs each for the Panthers.

Caledonia scored six runs each in the third and seventh innings to
take the win over FCA.

Hagan Box tossed a no-hitter for French Camp in the Panthers’ 5-0 win
over Noxapater on March 8. He struck out 17 batters in the process.

Box and Ben Hosket each had a single and two RBIs for the winners in
the game, while Hunter McKnight and Jackson each added a single.

French Camp was set to host Choctaw County rival Weir in a district
contest on Tuesday, before visiting East Oktibbeha for another league
match-up on Friday. The following week has the Panthers visiting
Nanih Waiya on Tuesday, March 26 and hosting West Lowndes on March 28.
