Ackerman starts off with winning ways

AHS softball finally begins season hosting Weir on Feb. 26.
Ackerman defeated Weir 39 to 0. Emily Robison was winning pither in
the game striking out 4 in 3 innings.

Player of the game goes to Kierra Fair who went 3 for 3 with a
triple, homer, 5 RBI and a stolen base.

On March 4, Ackerman travelled to Weir to play. Final score
Ackerman 15 Weir 0 Congratulations to #21 Makenzie Toombs for being
selected as the Player of the Game going 2 for 2 with 4 RBI…walked
twice…on base % of 1.000. Pitched 3 inning shut out …all 9 outs
were strikeouts

Ackerman hosted West Point on March 5. In JV action, Lizzie
Thomas was on the mound for the Indians recording her1st win in the
season. Final Score: Ackerman 11 West Point 0.

In varsity action, Sarah Moss took the mound for the Indians
recording her 1st win in the books. Makenzie Toombs went 3 for 3
at the plate hitting the 1st homerun for the season.
Congratulations to #15 Sarah Moss for being selected as the Player
of the Game. Struck out 8-no walks 1 earned run. At the plate: 2 for
2, 1 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 2 runs scored.

On Friday, March 8, Ackerman travelled to Starkville. Lizze Thomas
once again recorded a win for the JV defeating Starkville 22 to 0.

The varsity Indians won their 4th game of the season 15 to 3 in 5
innings defeating Starkville. Emily Robison started on the mound
with Makenzie Toombs closing. Each striking out 3. Congratulations
to #2 Haley Lucas for being selected as Player of the game as she
went 2 for 4, 2 RBI triple, scored twice.

The Indians are gameless during Spring Break, but will resume play
on March 18 as they will travel to Ethel.
