Services with full military honors for Aubrey Lamar Hood, 75, of
Goose Creek, S.C., were Feb . 24, 2013, at Carolina Memorial Funeral
Home in North Charleston, S.C., with the Rev. Jeff Price officiating.
Burial was in Carolina Memorial Park.
He was born July 28, 1937, in Eupora, son of the late Aubrey B. and
Ludie Cooper Hood. Mr. Hood was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in
the Vietnam War, retiring after 24 years of service. He also worked
as an electronics engineer for Honeywell at the Charleston Naval
Shipyard, retiring after 15 years of civil service. He died Feb. 21,

and five grandchildren

Services for Eddie Ladell Patridge, 67, of Maben were March 3, 2013,
at Wise Funeral Home in Eupora with the Rev. Charles White
officiating. Burial was in Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston.
He was born March 10, 1945, to the late Oscar and Annie Patridge. Mr.
Patridge served in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Purple
Heart. As a retired veteran he worked with the Veterans Affairs
Office. He was also a member of VFW Post 3806, the American Legion
and Spring Valley Baptist Church. He died Feb. 28, 2013, at Veterans
Memorial Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Sue Patridge of Maben; four
sisters, Mary Ann Griffin and Christine Black of Mathiston, Shirley
Arney of Sturgis and Linda Kitchens of Stewart; two brothers, Thomas
Wayne Patridge of Eupora and Jimmy Alfred Patridge of Mathiston; four
stepsons, Kenny Mann, Shannon Mann and Russell D. Davis of Maben. and
Danny L. Mann of Mathiston; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Gee of Ackerman;
and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Scott Arney. Russell Davis, Dustin Ladell Kitchens,
Danny Mann, Kenny Mann, Shannon Mann and Jerry Wayne Patridge.

Visitation for Mary O’Quinn, 85, was March 2, 2013, at Oliver Funeral
Home in Eupora. A memorial service by the family will be held at a
later date in Paris, Ark.
Mrs. O’Quinn was a retired homemaker. She died Feb. 27, 2013, at her
residence in Eupora.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia O’Neal of Moore, Okla.; three
sons; Billy O’Quinn and James O’Quinn of Paris, and Randy O’Quinn of
Eupora; a sister; Faye Wooten of Paris; two brothers; Gerald Melton
and Morgan Melton of Paris; and a host of grandchildren and great-

Services for Janette McCain Reid, 75, of Eupora were Feb. 26, 2013,
at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Rev. William
Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Eupora City Cemetery.
Mrs. Reid was a retired LPN and member of Eupora First Baptist
Church. She died Feb. 23, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center-
Pallbearers were Jonathan Johnson, Larry Johnson, Dexter Pate, Hayden
Pate, Sammy Pate, William Reid and Tommy Springer.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Dewberry, Becky Springer
and Elaine Pate of Mantee, and Martha Johnson of Eupora; a son, Frank
Reid Jr. of Tupelo; a sister, Linda Shepherd of Tomnolen; nine
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Helen Dunstan Eudy Sugg, 98, of Eupora, were March 4,
2013, at Eupora First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Trey
Harper and Rob Sugg officiating. Burial was in Eupora Cemetery.
The daughter of the late Mary Agnes “Polly” Dunstan Eudy and Albert
Lincoln Eudy, she was born Sept. 26, 1914. A graduate of Eupora High
School and Delta State Teachers College, she served for 53 years as
organist for Eupora FUMC. Mrs. Sugg also taught piano and later
taught second grade for 28 years at Eupora Elementary School. She was
a member of Eupora First United Methodist Church and was active in
the Women’s Missionary Society (United Methodist Women), having
served as president. She served as president of the Twentieth Century
Club numerous times and was a member of the Eupora Garden Club. She
died Feb. 28, 2013.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Beverly Noble of Flowood and
Ginga Woods of Olive Branch; and six grandchildren.

Homer Lee Sullivan

Services for Homer Lee Sullivan, 54, of Eupora were Feb. 23, 2013, at
Mt. Union Baptist Church with the Revs. Conley and Andrew Windrick
officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery in Kilmichael.
He was born Oct. 11, 1958, to the late L.P. and Lemmie Sullivan. Mr.
Sullivan, a graduate of Eupora High School, was a pipeline worker. He
was a member of Mt. Union Missionary Baptist Church, and served in
the U.S. Army and Mississippi Army National Guard. He died Feb. 16,
2013, at his home on Robinson Road.
Survivors include a son, Homerel Sullivan of Eupora; five sisters,
Maxine Daniels and Earlene Sullivan of Eupora, and Betty Sullivan,
Erma Jean Russell and Ruby Lee Sullivan of Toledo, Ohio; and two
brothers, Milton Sullivan and James Miller of Eupora.
Eddie Robinson Funeral Home of Grenada was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Willene Henley Shaw
Mrs. Willene Henley Shaw, 83, formerly of Hollandale where she was a
store manager, died February 28, 2013, at the North MS Medical
Center Long Term Care Unit in Eupora. Funeral services were at 3:00
pm Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora,
with burial in the North Union Cemetery in Webster County.
Visitation was from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Rev.
Billy Trull officiated.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Shaw; and a
daughter, Linda Shaw Masella.
Mrs. Shaw is survived by one daughter, Nell Trull (Billy) of Eupora;
one sister, Muriel Skarada of Cleveland, OH; two brothers, Womack
Henley of Mantee, MS, and Charles Haven Henley of Harrisville, MS;
four grandchildren, Marie Trull Haddon, Bill Trull, T. J. Masella,
and Andy Masella; eight great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Glenn
Masella of York, Maine.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of the Harmony Freewill Baptist Church in
Pallbearers were Tom Kolb, Rick McNew, Jonathan Johnson, Robbie
Cummings, Matt Henley and Dan Henley. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy
Griffin, Harold Chandler, Stan Henley, Rickey Guy, Ernie Quarles and
Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of all arrangements.
