Ms. Jackie Houston Mavis Montgomery “Jackie” Houston, age 87, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at North MS Medical Center in Pontotoc, MS. She was born September 17, 1925 to Hilary Delay Montgomery and Esther Ann Watson Montgomery in Ackerman, MS. Services were held at 11 a. m., Monday, February 18, 2013 at Aberdeen First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Freeman and Rev. Wayne Bruchey officiating. Burial followed in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery. She lived most of her life in Aberdeen. She retired after 50 years as bookkeeper for Aberdeen Ford Dealerships. She was a member of Aberdeen First Presbyterian Church where she served as Elder. Survivors include daughter: Ann Houston Kelly of Oxford, MS; son, Joseph Houston of Aberdeen, MS; brother: Al Montgomery of Weir, MS, and 3 grandchildren. Also a member of Masonic Lodge 408 Mr. Moore was born in Neshoba County on May 21, 1925 and died at his home in Neshoba County Friday, February 8, 2013. Mr. Glen Waddell Funeral services for Mr. Glen Waddell were held at 3 pm Monday, February 18, 2013 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Mack Alford and Rev. John Stephens officiating. Mr.Waddell, 72, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was born on April 7, 1940. Waddell served the people of Neshoba County two terms as constable and five consecutive terms as sheriff. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Waddell is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sarah Waddell of Phila, MS; daughter, Sharon Waddell Lewis of Phila, MS; son, Tommy Waddell of Union, MS; sister, Patricia Bradley of Phila, MS; (7) brothers, James Waddell of Jackson, MS, Willard Waddell of Gulfport, MS, Leonard Waddell of Phila, MS, Harold Waddell of Phila, MS, Rayburn Waddell of Madison, MS, Johnny Waddell of Phila, MS & Bud Waddell of Phila, MS; (5) grandchildren; host of nieces & nephews.
