Pioneer Community Hospital of Choctaw is now searching for a new hospital administrator.

“We have started the national search for a new administrator,” said Steve Fontaine, vice president of hospital operations for Pioneer Health Services, on Monday, February 11.

“Lauren (Williams) has left to pursue other career opportunities. We thank her for her time here and her commitment to growing health care services for the residents of Choctaw County. She has been instrumental in the construction of the new clinic and hospital in Ackerman and her hard work is appreciated,” said Fontaine.

Williams served as the hospital administrator for Pioneer Community Hospital of Choctaw for just over one year. She came to PCH-Choctaw in January 2012 from Pioneer Community Hospital of Aberdeen, where she served as associate hospital administrator.

Fontaine said that he and Sean Johnson would be working at PCH-Choctaw a couple days a week each taking care of day-to-day operations until an administrator could be hired.

Johnson served as the PCH-Choctaw hospital administrator from November 2010 until January 2012 when he became the administrator for PCH-Aberdeen.
