AES Kindergarteners celebrate 100 Days of School success

On Tuesday, January 22, the kindergarten students at Ackerman Elementary School (taught by Mrs. Carol Ballard, Mrs. Meriah Burdine, Mrs. Cynthia Berry, and Mrs. Shelley Gammill) celebrated the 100th Day of School.

The children did many activities with the number one hundred. Some made collections of one hundred things like pennies, toothpicks, and beans. Other activities included counting out one hundred stickers, stringing one hundred pieces of cereal, making 10’s trail mix, writing a word one hundred times, writing numbers to 100 and many others.

We had a great time, but found it hard to believe it has been 100 days since we started kindergarten. We are all one hundred days smarter!!!
