20th Century to host Christmas Brunch

By Amanda McBride The Choctaw Plaindealer

Celebrate the season at a Christmas Brunch with the Ackerman Twentieth Century Club on December 8. The Christmas Bruch will feature beautiful tablescapes, delicious dishes, door prizes, guest speaker, special music and vendors.

The guest speaker will be Rita Sweatt who will be presenting her monologue “The Innkeeper’s Wife.” She speaks to ladies in retreat settings and church meetings and only speaks at 60 events a year.

Sweatt has accepted the wonderful privilege of being used and grateful for the opportunities He has given her to share her sense of humor, passion for the Lord and His Word and her musical gifts to encourage women in their walk with Christ. She is married to Dr. Lloyd Sweatt, pastor of Meadowood Baptist Church in Amory.

During the brunch, Cortney Thomas-Hood will be presenting the special music.

A Christmas Brunch will be held Saturday, December 8 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Community Center in Ackerman. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased from any club member or contact Tinker Forrester at 312-1532.

The Christmas Brunch is sponsored by the GFWC Ackerman Twentieth Century Club.
