Stay on top of your Christmas shopping by starting early and shopping locally at the Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Open House on Thursday, November 8.
Thirteen members from the Chamber of Commerce will be participating in this year’s open house. Each merchant will set their hours and offer various promotions and door prizes.
Lara Bowman, Director of the Choctaw County Chamber Commerce stated, “We have great shops, restaurants and businesses here in Choctaw County whose owners work hard daily to offer quality products and services to the community. I would like to encourage the community to come out and visit a store they have not gone into before.”
The businesses participating in this year’s Christmas Open House will appeal to all members of the family. The man of the family can visit Guns and Roses Pawn Shop to enjoy some hearty man food and door prizes from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. While next door, Weaver’s Insurance Agency will be open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. offering refreshments to customers.
The Choctaw Plaindealer will be a great stop for the entire family. They will be celebrating their 125th Anniversary with birthday cake and other snacks from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. The family will also enjoy, Sonny’s Smokehouse open house activities from 2 p.m.–8 p.m. While there enjoy refreshments and register to win a smoked turkey. After leaving Sonny’s on Highway 15 stop by Farm Bureau. They will be open from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. offering refreshments and door prizes to visitors.
Ladies will enjoy refreshments while visiting Main Street Fabrics from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. Mrs. Dot Thomas will be in the store taking orders for Christmas wreaths during Christmas Open House. When leaving Main Street Fabrics, walk next door to Around the Clock Fitness Club. They will be open from 10 a.m.–7 p.m. offering new customers who sign up at Christmas Open House their first month of membership free.
Do not forget to stop by Ackerman Town Hall between 9 a.m.–5 p.m. to enjoy refreshments and register for a door prize. Then walk next door to Cuttin’ Up Beauty Salon and Southern Charm. They will be open from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. with refreshments and door prizes. Mrs. Heather Studdie will be in the store selling BeautiControl Products and offering a door prize to customers.
While across the street, Forget Me Not Florist will be open from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. with refreshments and door prizes for customers. On your way out of town be sure to stop by Cissy’s Gym between 11 a.m.– p.m. to learn about the exciting new classes being offered.
