Crafts, games vendors and more will be available on Saturday, October 28 for the Paws to Support the Choctaw County Animal Shelter fundraiser event.

This fundraiser will be held Enon CP Church’s Lighthouse Center at 9000 Miss. Highway 12 East in Ackerman.

The Choctaw County Animal Shelter encouraged everyone to come out to the event to start your Christmas shopping, fun games for the children and to support the animal shelter. All proceeds will go to the Choctaw County Animal Shelter.

Some of the vendors available on October 28 will be Scentsy, Tupperware, BeautiControl products, Thirty-One products, Pampered Chef, Premier Jewelry, Springer’s Store, Southern Charm Pottery, Boondocks Pottery and other local artisans.

Games for the children will also be available including face painting. “The games will entertain your children while you shop,” said Angela Paine, fundraiser organizer.

Coffee, donuts and lunch will also be available to purchase.

“It’s an awesome one stop shop. Buy everything on your Christmas list,” said Paine.

The 20th Century Club is also helping to promote and support the Choctaw Animal Shelter as one of their community improvement projects.

Donna McKay, project chairman, is excited to help raise funds and supplies for the Choctaw Animal Shelter.

The Choctaw County Animal Shelter is a 501 c3 organization that is incorporated in December 2010. It is funded completely by donations only. The animal shelter is located at 81 Edwards Road and is currently home to 21 dogs and eight cats.
