Robotics is blasting off

By Andy Robison

The Robotics and Engineering class of the Choctaw County Career and Technology Center started the year off with a great start. As the students started to learn the basics of engineering, a guest speaker spoke to the class about what being an engineer really means.

Mr. Jeff Hunt an electrical engineer at Camgian Microsystems took time out of his busy schedule to visit the class and discuss the procedures, benefits and challenges of being an engineer. The class learned a great deal of new information from Mr. Hunt.

Some of the second year students actually surprised him with the knowledge they had gained from taking the first year of the class. The class plans to further their understanding of engineering throughout the school year.
